The ACSI Spelling Bee Kit equips you to host a spelling bee for grades 1–8 and opens the door for your grades 5–8 winners to advance and compete with students in our live online ACSI Spelling Bee: Semi-Finals and Championship Finals.

ACSI Spelling Bee Competition Format

It begins:   
Host an in-person School Spelling Bee on your campus, on a date you choose, using the ACSI Spelling Bee Kit. You can involve as many students as you’d like in grades 1–8.   
 

Next:   
Register the top 5 winners from your Grades 5–8 Spell-Off to advance to the live, online ACSI Spelling Bee: Semi-Finals (open to ACSI member schools only), where they will compete with students from across the U.S. and around the world. When you purchase the Kit, you’ll receive a link to register your qualifying students. 
 

Finally:   
Top winners from the Semi-Finals will move on to the live, one-day, online ACSI Spelling Bee: Championship Finals, bringing together the best spellers from ACSI member schools worldwide.  
 

Important Notes:

• Participation in the ACSI Divisional and International Spelling Bees requires hosting a school-level bee using an official ACSI Spelling Bee Kit.
• Additional fees apply:
  • $35 per student for the Divisional Bee
  • $45 per student for the International Bee
