The
NEW Language Arts series, K–5, weaves together the wonders of oral and written language with a biblical worldview. This series is research-based and provides instruction in phonological awareness, phonics, comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency to meet the most comprehensive and challenging college-and-career-readiness standards available.
Integral components include systematic phonics instruction as well as spelling and vocabulary instruction. Students will be exposed to a variety of literary genres through decodable and leveled readers as well as literature read aloud to them. In-depth but grade-appropriate grammar lessons and robust writing activities will engage students in practicing correct language usage and structure. Teachers will appreciate reader guides for the decodable and leveled readers as well as the literature guides for the suggested read-aloud books.
The Language Arts kit (
available for a limited time while quantities last) is sold separately, and its items are frequently used in the Language Arts K–2 program. Great kinesthetic learning opportunities abound through the use of alphabet cards in print and cursive, alpha tiles, multi-purpose placemats, blends center cards, textured letters, and more.
