The journal (Missio Dei: The Journey) was developed after the concept of vade mecum (Latin for “go with me”) as a companion piece and an integral part of the student’s experience with missio Dei. The journal is filled with article excerpts, Bible verses, quotations, places for reflection, and activities directly related to the Teacher Edition lessons. Since the journal is a reflection of what the student is learning throughout the course, it can also be used as an assessment piece.
