EE Webinar: Re-engage Play for Healthy Learning
Zoom Online Training
Wednesday, February 24, 2021
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Why is play so important in the lives of young learners? What is the role of play after seasons of online learning? Why should play be a priority for Early Childhood teachers in the midst of and after challenging or stressful times? Teachers can utilize play to encourage young children to re-engage with one another and with learning after challenging experiences. Play provides the structure for beneficial growth and development for young children. Participants in this webinar will be prepared to:
Identify the impact of media and online technology in the lives of young children.
Explain the importance of play in the development of the “whole child.”
Communicate with families the importance of free playtime for young children.
Play should be an integral part of the lives of young children. In 1 Corinthians 13:11, Paul reminds us that being a child is distinctly different from being an adult. Christian educators must preserve and promote the methods and environments that are best for the young children in our care.
