Overview

This course will help teachers and staff formulate, articulate, and apply the core concepts of a biblical worldview to an educational context. Through thought-provoking discussions and focused group activities, participants will share insights, develop skills, reflect on their practices, and support one another in developing a foundation for biblical worldview. Whether participants are completing this course for continuing education credit or for their own personal benefit, it will lead them to analyze, evaluate, and even challenge their own worldview beliefs to ensure they are aligned with Scripture.

The course is accompanied by a high-quality video series led by Jerry Nelson, Chief Ministry Officer at ACSI. Jerry shares his expert insights and interviews prominent leaders in Christian education—Dr. Larry Taylor, Dr. Glen Schultz, Dr. Martha MacCullough, and Dr. Debbie MacCullough. Additionally, current podcasts and audio segments provide a rich array of expert content that explores key principles and insights for biblical integration.

The course also includes excerpts from the book Undivided: Developing a Worldview Approach to Biblical Integration by Martha E. MacCullough, Ed.D, which deepens the learning experience. For those seeking further exploration, supplemental resources are available to enrich the content even more.

Throughout the course, participants will create a personalized artifact, guided by a rubric, that demonstrates their understanding of a biblical worldview and its purposes in education.

This course is second in a three-part series, which fulfills ACSI’s Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) requirement. (All three courses are needed to meet the requirement.)
