Overview

This course series will help teachers and staff develop and articulate a Christian philosophy of education firmly rooted in a biblical worldview. Through thought-provoking discussions and focused group activities, participants will share insights, develop skills, reflect on their practices, and support one another in developing a Christian philosophy of education. By the end of the series, teachers and staff will create a practical framework and actionable plan for integrating authentic biblical principles into their classrooms and various school settings.

The series features a high-quality video series led by Jerry Nelson, Chief Ministry Officer at ACSI. Jerry shares his expert insights and interviews prominent leaders in Christian education. Additionally, current podcasts and audio segments provide a rich array of expert content that explores key principles and insights for a biblical approach to philosophy. Excerpts from the books By Design and Undivided by Dr. Martha E. MacCullough are also provided to deepen the learning experience.

Throughout each course, learners will create a personalized artifact, guided by a rubric, that demonstrates a Christian philosophy of education and may be used in an educator’s professional portfolio.

This series fulfills ACSI’s Christian Philosophy of Education (CPoE) requirement. All three courses are needed to meet the requirement.
