Course Overview

This course equips Christian early educators with essential knowledge and practices for maintaining safe and healthy environments. Dr. Althea Penn provides training on federal mandates, injury control, emergency preparedness, illness prevention, and child abuse awareness. Designed for teachers, administrators, and caregivers, the course fulfills 4 CEUs and strengthens leadership in safeguarding young children.

Note: CCDBG (Child Care and Development Block Grant) is a U.S. law that provides funding for child care and requires programs to follow specific health and safety standards to protect children.

Instructor

Dr. Althea Penn is the Director of Early Education at ACSI. With over 30 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and trainer, she equips Christian educators to build safe, developmentally appropriate, and faith-centered learning environments. Dr. Penn is passionate about equipping leaders to integrate biblical worldview with best practices in education, empowering schools and programs to flourish while protecting the well-being of children.
